NAMPUNG Industrial Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) places great importance on protecting customers’ personal information and makes every effort to ensure that the personal information provided online is protected.

Accordingly, the Company complies with the relevant laws and regulations that information and communications service providers must observe, such as the Protection of Communications Secrets Act, the Telecommunications Business Act, and the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization, as well as the privacy guidelines established by the Ministry of Information and Communication.

This privacy policy explains how the Company uses and protects the personal information provided by users and what measures are being taken for personal information protection.

This policy is published on the homepage’s main page to ensure easy access at any time.

 1. Scope and Method of Personal Information Collection

A.    Scope of Collected Information

-       For room reservations: Name, phone number, email address, payment information

-       For restaurant reservations: Name, company name, phone number, email address

-       For accommodation registration:

For domestic guests: Date of birth (to verify minor status)

For foreign guests: Passport number, visa type, date of arrival in Korea

Other information deemed necessary by the hotel

B.    Collection Methods

 2. Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information

Personal information is collected for the following purposes to provide satisfactory services:

-       Name: Required for online, offline, or phone reservations and confirmation procedures

-       Phone number: For reservation confirmation, communication, complaint handling, SMS notifications, lost and found, and hotel/news/event updates

-       Address and email: For reservation confirmation, hotel/news/event updates, and notices

-       Reservation contact info: In case the reservation is made by someone other than the guest

The Company does not collect sensitive personal data that may infringe on basic human rights (e.g., race, beliefs, political orientation, criminal records, etc.).

False Information and Legal Action

Users are responsible for the accuracy and legality of their provided information. If false information is submitted (e.g., identity theft), the Company may report the user under applicable laws and deny service.

 

 3. Third Party Disclosure

Personal information will be used only within the scope disclosed and will not be provided to third parties or used beyond the original purpose unless:

 

A.    Partnerships:

With prior consent, information may be shared with partners for better service. Users will be informed in advance (partner name, purpose, scope, period), and consent will be obtained via email or in writing.

B.    Outsourcing:

In the case of outsourcing, details such as the scope of information, purpose, process, and duration will be disclosed beforehand.

Even in such cases, the Company will notify the customer unless legally restricted.

 

 4. Destruction of Personal Information

Customers may view or request modifications to their data at any time by contacting the Company via email or in writing.

Withdrawal of consent can be done through email, phone, etc., with identity verification.

-       The Hotels retain personal information for a set period of time and destroy it when the purpose of the collection is fulfilled in accordance with the internal policies and applicable laws. Upon expiry of retention period or fulfillment of the purpose of collection or any other cases where the retention of personal information is no longer required, the Hotels destroy personal information immediately.

-       In the event that other laws require that personal information be stored even after the retention period is expired or the purpose of collection is fulfilled, the Hotels transfer such personal information to a separate database or store it in a different place.

-       Paper containing personal information is shredded or incinerated while electronic files are deleted beyond recovery.

 

 5. Security Measures

 

A.    The Company takes the following measures to prevent loss, theft, leakage, alteration, or damage of personal information: Uses dedicated network security solutions and managed services

B.    Limits access to authorized personnel and regularly educates staff

C.    Takes corrective action upon discovering violations: Users are responsible for protecting their own personal information. The Company is not liable for accidents caused by user negligence or inherent online risks.

D.    In case of internal mistakes or technological failures leading to data issues, the Company will notify affected users and take appropriate action and compensation.

 

 6. Response to Infringement of Rights

The guests may request the settlement of dispute or consultation to the Personal Information Arbitration Committee and Personal Information Infringement Notification Center of Korea Internet Security Agency in addition to the following organizations:

7. Protection of Children’s Personal Information

The Company does not collect personal information from children under the age of 14 by default. If necessary, it will be done in compliance with applicable laws.

 

8. Advertising Restrictions

-       The Company does not send promotional messages against a customer's will.

-       When sending newsletters or promotional emails:

The subject line includes “[AD]”

The body clearly states the sender’s contact and unsubscribe options in both Korean and English

-       For SMS/fax promotions, sender info is also disclosed.
